The Bodleian Libraries have taken William Godwin's Diary resource offline, owing to a change in guidance within the University relating to cyber security. William Godwin's Diary resource has therefore been taken offline as a precaution, in the light of the new guidance, while we develop new approaches to being able to support and deliver it. We acknowledge how disruptive this has been to the many scholars and communities who use this resource. Alternative ways to access William Godwin's Diary resource are below, while we determine routes and funding to take the resource forward. A temporary site has been created at the University of Warwick at which users may access the Diary, albeit without full functionality. More on the background here: Bodleian Service Updates In the interim, users can consult alternative resources for the Godwin Diary: The Godwin Diary TEI records are available in the Oxford University Research Archive. A static web-archive version of the site can be browsed in the Bodleian Web Archive. Digital facsimiles of the Diary are available via Digital Bodleian. Future developments: We aim to undertake major work on the Diary over the first 8 months of 2025. Please contact Mark Philp for questions about the project: mark.philp@warwick.ac.uk |
