Events

The laying of the first stone of the new London University in Bloomsbury, now University College, London, was presided over by the Duke of Sussex. Also present were the Duke of Norfolk, Henry Brougham and George Birkbeck and the ceremony was followed by a dinner of the Friends of the London University at the Freemasons’ Tavern on Great Queen-street.
