Events

Arthur O’Connor (1763–1852) was a prominent member of the United Irishmen. With Lord Edward Fitzgerald he negotiated French support for an Irish rebellion, which resulted with the landing of French troops at Bantry Bay in 1796. He was jailed from February to October 1797.
