Godwin’s History of the Commonwealth was flagged in the Examiner (1 February) and Morning Chronicle (3 February). The latter announces its publication by Colburn on 5 February, but this seems to jump the gun. R. T. is probably Colburn’s printer who passes a copy to Godwin, and then some to Colburn. The date of publication recorded by Godwin, 26 February, is not noted in the Morning Chronicle.
