This probably refers to a holiday taken by Godwin's son William (then nine years of age). It coincided almost exactly with the period he spent with his step-mother Mary Jane Godwin, and Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin in 1811. There is a 'W' recorded on 25 May, but this seems unlikely to be William. It is more likely that he returned after six weeks on 28 June 1812.
