Hugh Fortescue, second earl of Fortesque (1783-1861) (known by his courtesy title, Lord Ebrington), with a seat in the House of Commons for Devon, played a prominent role in rallying support for Grey’s ministry and the Reform Bill in the autumn of 1831 and May 1832.
