This lecture at the Surrey Institution, on Blackfriars Road south of the Thames, has not been identified. The Surrey Institution had been founded in 1808, attracted an informed audience of subscribers to the Institution and had been the venue for Coleridge's lectures 'On Belles Lettres' in the winter of 1812-13.
