Echard (6  April  1815) Possibly:
Echard, Laurence His most important works include The Roman history from the building of the city to the perfect settlement of the empire by Augustus ( 1695) and The history of England from the first entrance of Julius Caesar and the Romans to the end of the reign of James I ( 1707) with its continuation to William and Mary ( 1718). But WG may have consulted his letters and manuscripts archived in the British Museum and the Red Cross Library, which he visits on 1815-04-06.
