Cowley (13  December  1796) Cowley, Abraham Many possible works, but a poem by Abraham Cowley, ‘To the Royal Society,' is included in Thomas Sprat, The history of the Royal-Society of London. Cowley's name, along with Sprat's, Temple's, and Tillotson's occur close together in WG's The Enquirer (PPW 5: 264-5). WG's sale catalog lists:
